Anicia Checkerspot Butterfly

I found this little butterfly roosting on a windy day atop a plateau in Montana's Pryor Mountains. Although I think the way the butterfly's pattern and color blended with the lichen-covered rock was a coincidence, it was nevertheless impressive camouflage.
