Hunchback Beefly

Lepidophora lutea.

Hunchback Beefly

This is a kleptoparasite. It follows a wasp carrying a spider which it has paralyzed. The wasp will lay an egg on the spider and fly away. The beefly will deposit her egg on the spider, and her egg will hatch before the wasp and steal the prey.
