Jewel Scarab and Sphinx Moth

These two insects were spotted next to each other, roosting on the wooden beams of a covered walkway in the cloud forest near Mindo, Ecuador. Both had probably been flying the night before, and just happened to end up roosting near each other. They were carefully moved to a white background, then put "back to bed" when the photo session was finished.
